The Bugatti Tourbillon release date continues to edge closer and closer, and so far, there’s been a lot of talk about the usual topics—its performance specs, its top speed, its brand-new 8.3-liter V16 engine. However, there’s another side to a Bugatti vehicle that some car aficionados often don’t consider as much: its unparalleled interior experience.

Being a hyper luxury marque, Bugatti spared no expense to ensure that the inside of the Tourbillon is every bit as elegant, iconic, and ergonomic as possible. Most of us may never be inside one ourselves, but that doesn’t mean we can’t admire it for the work of art that it is. Join us while we check out the inside of the Tourbillon.

Inside the Bugatti Tourbillon

The experience begins when you touch a subtly hidden button, and the motorized doors glide upward, revealing a spectacularly crafted interior. It isn’t wholly unfamiliar as far as Bugatti hypercars go—its two-seater cabin, which is positioned just in front of the engine, feels like a logical continuation of the Bugatti design ethos that has been carried through the decades. At the same time, there’s no mistaking that the Tourbillon is a beast all its own.

One of the most striking features is the absolute lack of screens and flashy lights. In the current age, where it seems that every other automaker is racing to see who can fit the largest infotainment display into their vehicles, Bugatti chooses to continue to forge their own path. The effect is simultaneously nostalgic and futuristic.

As the locus of the driver experience, the steering wheel functions as the Tourbillon’s command center, with most controls easily reachable by simply moving one’s thumb from the 9 or 3 position. At the bottom of the wheel, the Launch Control button stands out on its own, practically begging to be pressed.

Behind the wheel, three dials give the driver all pertinent information about speed and powertrain conditions. In keeping with the Tourbillon’s namesake, this display is designed to emulate the inner workings of a finely crafted clock, with intricate gears and cogs seeming to tick along as the speedometer creeps upward.

Bugatti Tourbillon Customization

No two Bugatti vehicles in the world look alike, and for the Tourbillon, the marque has decided to introduce even more ways to personalize your Bugatti.

One such way is what they call Équipe Pur Sang, which translates to “thoroughbred team.” Not only does this package come with a number of exterior upgrades to enhance performance, but it also bedecks the interior with unique embroidery and the Medium Carbon Fiber Interior Package.

Bugatti has also created a new palette of interior colors and materials, as well as overhauled the entire customer experience by streamlining the process and creating new ways to customize your own bespoke Tourbillon.
