But unlike your “typical” vehicle, an exotic car like a Bugatti Veyron needs special treatment – which ultimately means you’ll be on a first-name basis with the technicians at our Miami Bugatti service center. Here is a list of some of the important maintenance tasks you should stay on top of to keep your supercar a supercar.
Note: Consult Your Owner’s Manual
Of course, the first step to maintaining your luxury vehicle is to consult your Owner's Manual for specific information regarding critical service milestones. Failure to maintain your vehicle on a regular basis not only leads to premature wear but also may void your car's warranty. If you live in South Florida, you can also ask our Bugatti repair shop to keep you updated on all upcoming or overdue maintenance. We’ll gladly call, text or email you when your Bugatti needs to come in for a check-up.
What Bugatti Maintenance is Needed
UHP Tire Care
Check Tire Pressure
When: Monthly/SeasonallyChecking your tire pressure is a very simple and straightforward thing to do. In fact, most new cars come with a Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) that alerts you if your tire pressure is low.
Tire pressure is affected by temperature, so it's important to check the pressure on a monthly basis, especially in the summer and winter months.
Check Tire Tread
When: 1-2 MonthsYou should also inspect ultra-high-performance tires for any signs of visible wear, such as cracks or gouges in the sidewall. If your UHP tire tread looks worn, you can insert a penny upside down into the tread. If you see the top of Lincoln's head, you may need a new set of tires.
Exotic car tires need special care, as well. They’re usually thinner and more prone to tread wear and deterioration, as they’re comprised of unique compounds to ensure proper traction. Because of this unique composition, Bugatti tires won’t last as long as conventional tires, so it’s important to check for any signs of UHP tire wear every month or two. (Bugatti tires may need to be replaced every 2-3 years.)
Get Tire Rotations
When: QuarterlyTo keep your Bugatti tires in good shape, and to reduce random tread wear, you should get a full tire rotation every 2-3 months. When you visit your Bugatti service department, you’ll also be informed when a tire or wheel alignment is needed. Keep up with these!

Get a Brake Inspection
When: YearlyIf you own a supercar that is only a couple of years old, it's likely that you won't need to have your brakes inspected that often. However, if you experience any unusual problems, such as having to pump your brakes or push your pedal to the floor, or if the brakes feel "soft" or "mushy," you should have your brakes inspected by one of our certified auto service technicians right away.
Depending on how you drive your Bugatti, you should plan to replace your brake pads after 25,000-50,000 miles. Worn brake pads are designed to emit an audible "chirping" sound when they need to be replaced. It is best to have your Bugatti brakes inspected once a year, regardless.
Change Windshield Wipers
When: As Needed/SeasonallyHot weather is murder on rubber; especially rubber exposed to the sun. Wiper blades are especially susceptible and should be checked for cracks, wear, or rubber that is stiff. If your wipers are leaving streaks and there’s no debris in the way, it’s a sign that you should change them. This usually needs to be done once or twice per year, normally before and after winter.
Be sure to order OEM windshield wiper blades for your Bugatti. Fake car parts may be cheaper, but they’re cheaper for a reason: they’re cheaply made and can break and even damage your vehicle. If you need to order a genuine Bugatti part in Miami, including wipers, contact our parts store for a quote.
Add Windshield Washer Fluid
When: MonthlyYou may need to check and fill your washer fluid reservoir more frequently, depending on how much you use it. It’s best to top off your windshield washing fluid every month, to be safe.
Change Engine Oil
When: Twice per Year/SeasonallyChecking your oil level is crucial to good car health. Dirty or low oil can lead to premature engine wear, increased emissions, lower fuel economy, and reduced performance. If your oil is consistently low, this may also signal an internal problem with the engine that should be addressed.
The traditional or conventional oil change interval is every 3,000-5,000 miles; many newer vehicles can now go up to 7,500 miles between oil changes. (Your Owner's Manual will give you accurate information regarding how long you can go between oil changes.)
What about Bugatti oil changes? In most cases, your Bugatti (or any exotic car, really) can go 5,000-7,500 miles before needing to change oil. In normal Bugatti driving conditions, this translates to two oil changes per year, though it never hurts to change Bugatti engine oil every season.
Change Air Filter
When: YearlyInspect your Bugatti air filter at least once if not twice a year or more frequently if you drive in dusty, sandy conditions (hello, Miami Beach!). Consult your Owner's Manual for air filter replacement schedule.
Lights
When: YearlyDo a walk around of your car and visually inspect that all lights are working properly. You may even notice that the headlight lenses are getting cloudy. This is easily remedied with an off-the-shelf lens restorer kit – or simply bring your vehicle into an exotic car service center to restore those headlights’ natural luster.

Fluid Flush
When: YearlyBugatti recommends flushing all fluids every year. This is because certain Bugatti models, like the Veyron, utilize a very intricate system to deliver fluid (oil, brake fluid, coolant, etc.) to its incredibly complex engine and all necessary components. In fact, the Bugatti Veyron has a total of 16 drain plugs, including some that are shielded by the front grille and rear fender. (Each of those gets replaced with a new OEM plug and gasket, which can be a laborious task, so it’s best to have a professional Bugatti mechanic handle your fluid flush.)
Check the Battery
When: YearlyThe extreme Florida heat can cause car batteries to wear out quickly. On average, batteries last about two or three years. If you notice that your car is getting harder to start, this may be the first sign of battery trouble.
Another thing that's easy to check is for any buildup of corrosion around the battery terminals. Clean them with a stiff wire brush. You can buy felt post pads to help prevent further buildup. Alternatively, you can take your car to our Braman Bugatti Service Department and let us perform a check of your electrical system.
Regardless of the make or model of the high-performance car you own, the two best pieces of advice we can give you are to always consult your Owner's Manual and to take your car to a certified exotic car mechanic. Doing so will ensure your vehicle stands the test of time.
